More than 22 schools and over 10,000 students
Beyond the physical endurance required to walk thousands of kilometers, the project carries a strong humanitarian message.
Mr. Alaya uses the walk as a platform to advocate for peace, dialogue between peoples, and support for Early Childhood Development (ECD). Through direct engagement with communities, schools, and institutions, the mission actively highlights the importance of investing in young generations and supporting ECD initiatives, while promoting mutual respect across societies.
Through these interactions, the mission serves as both a symbolic and practical initiative encouraging people to reflect on peace, cooperation, and shared human values.

During the South African stage, Mr. Alaya engaged with:
• Local communities in rural and urban areas
• Primary and secondary schools
• Educators and school administrators
• Correctional facility inmates
• South African Police Service (SAPS) members

School visits focused on raising awareness about peace, coexistence, anti-racism, and support for Early Childhood Development, while also inspiring students to believe in their ability to achieve their dreams.
During the mission in South Africa, Mr. Alaya visited 22 schools and engaged with more than 10,000 students, sharing messages about peace, tolerance, and the importance of early childhood development. These visits provided young people with the opportunity to directly engage with the mission and encouraged dialogue around unity, respect, and global citizenship.
Meetings with correctional facility inmates also focused on responsibility, positive influence, and the importance of peace. In addition, meetings with police officers, educators, and school administrators emphasized the importance of the roles they play in society and encouraged them to continue their efforts in building a better future and investing in their dreams to create positive change in their lives and communities.

These interactions also contributed to inspiring children to adopt positive ideas aimed at developing and improving their communities, and to unite around the message of peace. Students proposed activities and ideas that they will work on implementing, inspired by this journey.
However, we need support to be able to nurture these ideas and transform them into real actions that contribute to building a rising generation.
